We are always looking for individuals with a desire to serve the community and organization.
AIM IRS Houston Chapter generally holds the election for board members on the third Thursday of October. With the nomination period six week prior to the election. To accept a nomination, you must be an AIM member in good standing. To serve on the Executive Board you must have been a Committee Chair. Each board member is elected to a two year term. Elections are held every year with half of the positions up for election.
In even years the following positions are open for election:
Executive Board:
1st Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Committee Chairs:
Bylaws, Budget and Finance, Nominations, Public Information and History, Scholarship, Awards and Evaluations.
In odd years, the following positions are up for election:
Executive Board:
President and 2nd Vice President
Committee Chairs:
Conference and Planning, Fundraising, Issues and Research, Membership and Program and Development.
The following committees chairs are appointed:
Outreach/Community Service, VITA, CAMP and Fair Election.
